The Greeks: Words, Triremes and The Librarian Who Measured the Earth

 We practiced our Greek words, combining them together to make all sorts of new words.. then we colored pictures of Greek triremes...and glued on pieces of blue tissue papers for texturing the sea.  We sat on the front porch and I read to them The Librarian Who Measured the Earth about Eratosthenes' many accomplishments.

including measuring the earth with only a 200 mile margin of error.
